In a reality where gum doesn't exist, Anne (Suzi Barrett) pitches becky (Becky Drysdale) an idea that could change the world.

Gum is a comedic short film directed by Jacob Reed (Jimmy Kimmel Live) starring and improvised by Suzi Barrett (Just Roll With It) and Becky Drysdale (The Tonight Show). It was completely improvised.

Jacob is an award-winning director and writer known for his work on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Funny or Die, Comedy Central, BuzzFeed, and Nickelodeon. He’s directed celebs like Bernie Sanders, Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, Kevin Hart, and C3PO as well as commercials for LEGO, Miller Lite, Hasbro, IKEA, Amazon, and more. Jacob performs and teaches at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, where he met Suzi and Becky.

Suzi Barrett
starring / improvised by

 

Suzi plays Rachel on the half-scripted / half-improvised Disney show “Just Roll With It.” You may also recognize her from Drunk History, How I Met Your Mother, Comedy Bang Bang, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, and a few million commercials. Suzi can be seen every Saturday at UCB Franklin performing with the house team, Sentimental Lady, she is also an alumnus of renowned improv/sketch company Boom Chicago.

Rebecca Drysdale

Becky attended Sarah Lawrence College for a minute, where she met her writing partner Jordan Peele and subsequently moved to Chicago to pursue sketch comedy and Improvisation. An alum of Boom Chicago, The Second City Chicago, and UCB, Rebecca won the first-ever Breakout performer award at the Aspen Comedy Festival. She’s appeared in Orange Is The New Black, Arrested Development, and 30 Rock and has written for HBO, LOGO, MTV The Jim Henson Company, High Maintenance, and Key & Peele. She is currently the head writer for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Carissa Dorson

Carissa began her career shooting videos for CollegeHumor and Funny or Die, and has since expanded to features, short films, commercials, and music videos.  Her commercial clients include Google, Lululemon, Glad Press’n Seal, Ford, Dos Equis, and Brita, for which she filmed a spot starring Stephen Curry. Her short film “I Think She Likes You” premiered at Tribeca and her latest feature, “It’s a Party” is now streaming on Showtime. Carissa is also a fine art photographer, with an interest in portraiture.  Her ongoing photo series, Funny People. Serious Photos, was featured in L.A. Weekly.

A people person to her core, Francesca spent five years working closely with A-List talents Jennifer Lopez and Kate Beckinsale and also happens to have eight godchildren!
